Empowering Youth for Online Positivity: The YSEALI Workshop 2024

This one-day program brought together students aged 16 to 25, offering them a chance to enhance their understanding of online behaviour and build skills to create a positive digital environment. The workshop featured insightful sessions led by local experts and provided a platform for collaboration and networking among participants.

The day began with a session on project management training conducted by Architects of Diversity (AOD). Participants learned practical skills for designing and managing online campaigns, brainstorming their own campaign ideas, and exploring strategies for effective project implementation. This session highlighted the importance of structured planning and execution, equipping young people with the tools needed to turn ideas into impactful initiatives.

The next session, led by Pusat Komas, focused on strategies for addressing hate speech online. Through engaging games and discussions, participants explored ways to foster harmony in online interactions and manage anonymous comments constructively. Another key session delved into understanding online hate speech conducted by Arus academy. Participants were introduced to definitions and measurements of hate speech according to international standards.
